These days, I wake up too early. To greet the sunlight, to make oil pop, to enjoy an extended life. But when the light hits my face, and sometimes when cooking gets the better of me, I think about how I spend my days. I pat my self on the back, not of appreciation, but of prodding: to do more, to be better, to understand. A lot of times, it’s hard, but days can be long, if I will them to be.
